Hello 38 and in process of getting a diagnosis

Hi all,
Thought I'd try and get some advice on how people cope with some lifelong symptoms I have that feel like they are sabotaging my ability to lead a functioning life. At 38 I can now compare myself to other adults who have had a similar upbringing and am getting more and more anxious at my inability to do normal things like decide on, get and stick to a job I like so I can afford to live like an adult. I hate how little progress I have made with my life and want desperately to turn things around.
Looking forward to getting some advice here. It feels like modern life is not set up at all for people like me. I'm not lazy, I don't think I'm stupid but life is beginning to feel like a merry go round that's not any fun.
Hope someone can relate
x

Re: Hello 38 and in process of getting a diagnosis

I'm 38 too and I feel pretty crappy too when I compare my progress with that of my peers. At the sake time I don't even know what progress I should aim for or what I want.

I can definitely recommend a diagnosis and treatment though. They made a world of difference to my life (at least for the few years I was taking meds).
