would be extra quiet coming home those nights.

But he couldn't recognize that I wasn't exaggerating my other symptoms just
to get sympathy or attention. My allergies don't cause swollen lips and tongue
(except for one new med I tried after we separated). The abrupt changes in my
blood pressure weren't so easily seen, it was only a year ago that I checked it
after exposure to perfume. First it fell to 88/55 (passing out level) and then it
bounced up to 200/100 (stroke level). It had been doing that for years without
my knowing it. First I'd get week and weepy, then I'd get angry ... and all that
time there was real reason for those reactions ... but he'd say "chill out" or
"stop being so sensitive."

Or hormones. A lot of times it was blamed on hormones. He refused to admit
that I had PPMD ... and I had it every 23 days instead of a normal cycle of 30.

I wondered if you were affected by the storms, but I thought maybe they were
further north. What a mess.

Meanwhile here in the middle of the U.S. we are still in a horrible drought that
doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. Just a little wind (and there is usually
wind in Kansas) and the fire danger is a given. Yesterday there was a large
grass fire a little ways north of us that burned some outbuildings but thankfully
fire fighters were able to save the home itself. I don't care if it's March already,
we need some snow, or a good soaking rain.

No drought here.

It may be a little foggy, they dropped the big snow action after everybody cleaned the stores out.

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part IV

Wind is even worse today. Elevated risk of fires burning miles and miles of grass
and hay and crops. And homes and outbuilding and cars. And people. Ugh.

But the headache is much better. No school here so we're trying to talk the teen
into going out to lunch and a little shopping. Oh ...

... and feeding the squirrels and blackbirds.

The boiler is the thing that heats up the water to heat the house through the radiators

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part IV

i feel like people are becoming increasingly selfish and entitled when it comes to personal events (birthdays, bachelorette/baclor partyies, etc)

scheduling expensive week or weekend parties out of town we have to pay for

having 2 or even 3 separate parties for the same celebrated event

now one of the people who is really bad at it just scheduled themselves a moving party on st p[atties day, they aint moving far

so now a fun day he bounce around seeing different friends has been hijacked by someone who thinks they are bigger than holidays

if i go, instead of , like alwasy , doing a bunch of stuff, i have to do what the delicate genius wants to do

maybe im being to judgemental

She's autistic ... and 16.

I get it though, there are days when a noisy restaurant is the last thing I want
to do. We went thru TacoBell drive thru and ate while we drove. That's okay,
I wanted another enchirito.

After that we didn't buy anything else. I've been looking a balance bike for an
adult for several years now ... no pedals, just push with your feet while sitting
on a seat to take the strain off my back. Tried a resale shop and a big medical
supply shop. Nope, not a thing I could use.

Guess I'm gonna have to work on my upper arm strength either for rolling my
manual wheelchair with all my weight in it, or for lifting the electric wheelchair
into the back of my minivan.

I just don't wanna give up and be wheelchair bound yet dammit! I want some
way of exercising while not putting weight on my lower back. Years ago I used
crutches but now I need to sit more often. Crutches with a rolling stool?
