I need to check on Ebony's lump today, see if it's changed. Ebony says I know exactly what I can do with THAT idea.

Especially with the height and length of that Fred Murtz zipper.

It is still only 7 out there with at least 10 inches and more coming.

It's not quite that cold here, but close, and soooooo dry that static electricity
is going to shock the socks off me. And it's too cold to be sock-less.

Wish I knew how to steal some of that snow you keep getting there.

Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

I'm watching a clip on youtube about Ellen (stop judging me! haha) giving a woman a bunch of money ($40,000) and how the woman said she's going to take her mother on a trip...but had no idea where.

I know just where I'd take my mom...and it'd be freaking magical!

I'd SO love to goto Las Vegas with my mom! haha, we'd have such an amazing time there...omg!
And it'd be awesome cause we wouldn't be there to gamble...neither of us have the gambling bug like my dad does (we have casinos here where I live in the states).
We'd do a TON of research before hand and find a bunch of free things to do...we'd hit up a bunch of delicious places to eat...and the shopping! We'd rent my mom an electric scooter and we'd hit up all the cool places to shop! Souvinir shops and the M&M, Hershey Chocolate, and Coca Cola stores, as many toy shops as we could possibly find lol, the Lego store, the Disney store...you know...all the fun places!
Me and my mom were a couple of kids haha...we didn't much enjoy shopping for clothes and jewelry, but put us in a toy shop and we'd be on cloud 9 looking at everything .
And unlike my dad...my mom takes her time and makes shopping fun. My dad's always in a rush and always saying negative comments about how dumb things are. Me and my mom go aisle by aisle, section by section...really soaking everything in lol. It's a lot of fun. We like letting our inner children out and buying toys and just letting go a bit.

We'd visit at least 1 museum, find a botanical garden if they have one, go to a show at a planetarium...and I mean hell...we have $40,000 to spend!! We'd for sure go see several shows!!

We'd also try to hit up every single casino in vegas and get a $1 poker chip at each place lol.

We also like stopping at Chamber Of Commerces in each city we go to...cause sometimes they have really neat freebies to give out...like in my state of Wyoming, they give out some really cool large stickers...and each city/town that participates have their own unique sticker.

And our motel! Nothing too super fancy, I wouldn't want a huge room even though we'd have the money for it...but man I LOVE staying in hotel rooms! One of my favorite things for some reason lol. We'd get 2 rooms and make sure they were next to each other...I'd make sure my mom's room had a jaqueze in it. We'd have such an amazing time shopping all day, then coming back to our hotel room and going through all of our stuff together .

Omg...lol.
My mom was so much funner to be with than my dad. My can be okay on trips...and we get along almost always, and I end up having a great time despite him...
But he gets grumpy and doesn't have the energy my mom has and isn't at all as fun and whimsical as my mom is.

We'd do a week long trip I think and just blow through our $40,000. It'd be the best week of our lives and even if we did spend every last penny, neither of us would ever regret doing so.
And we'd leave my dad at home!

I can't imagine anything funner then this.

Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

psycho
I wish you could have gone to Vegas with your mom and had a wonderful time.

I went to Vegas with some friends 19 years ago ... on their dime, so sweet.

I really wanted to see Liberace's museum, but no one else did. Most of them
were into the gambling so I took a nap while they played and went to bed early.

We did take a limo to Fremont street. It was cool but I felt too rushed to really
appreciate it because we were on our way to see Cirque de Soleil. That was so
awesome!

We rented a car and drove south into the desert to visit some of their family.
They say Kansas is flat and boring, but at least it's green most of the time.

Hubby is the best person for both. We have similar interests when it comes to what we want to see and he just plans the most amazing holidays ever. He usually spends about 3 weeks planning our holidays and they are so much fun...well, if you like history or waking lots.

I prefer going shopping on my own. Unless, I actually need something in particular, because then I need hubby to make up my mind.

After hubby my mom is the best person to go shopping with except that she wants me to buy everything and then insists on paying for everything. It seems like paying for everything has become more important to her than anything else. It drives me crazy. She has the patience of a saint though.we used to have so much fun when I was younger.

Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

I got put on oxygen a few weeks ago...need a tube that goes into my nose lol.
I was afraid it was going to bug me...
But no, I actually really enjoy it. I have a portable one to take when I leave my apartment, but I'm too embarrassed to take it anywhere...but I do look forward to putting my oxygen back on when I get home.
I also take the tube off when I'm eating and when I'm up and about cooking or whatever in my apartment...but again, I always look forward to getting my oxygen again.

I was also having a horrible time of things with my sleep before the oxygen. Nightmares and nocturnal seizures, and screaming out in my sleep (or...singing! lol I kept waking myself up mid way into songs! lols).
This has ALL stopped since using my oxygen. I still dream, but not the insanely intense nightmares I was having that'd wake me up in full on panic and terror.

I do find my dang tube off a lot though when I wake up which is frustrating. It might be falling off as I'm sleeping...but I'm afraid I'm taking it off in my sleep.
I hope in time this will work itself out and stop happening.
The other problem I have, is I like to sleep on my side and it's hard to find a comfortable position to lay my head on my pillow without messing my tube up.

So happy the oxygen is helping. How long have you been using it? I wonder if there are some forums for people put on oxygen where they discuss these things.

Not sure if any of these tips are of any use:

Re: how can i keep oxygen tubes from coming out

Maybe a soft hairband that covers your ears would help, my oxygen plugs into my
c-pap machine,so I don't have to wear the canula at night. Good Luck!

You can't. Its normal for at least one tip to come out from time to time. Just put it back and don't worry about it.

I wear mine backward (the tubing behind my head instead of under my chin.)
I pull it snug and that keeps the prongs in my nose and the tubing away from my throat.

It rarely falls out for me.
