Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

I took Baclofen for the first time ever today, and I am cracking joints I didn't even know I had.

Plus, the femoral muscle spasm from my hip bursitis has stopped, and I am near pain free.

Put on the music, mix me a drink, and I'll be ready to dance the Lambada, to begin the Beguine, don't ya' know?

That's great! Happy for you. Baclofen did pretty much nothing for me.

Maybe I should have one of those genetic drug tests done to see which meds
would actually help me?

Glad to hear you are nearly pain free!

Please be careful though. I’m sure you know muscle relaxers and alcohol can be very dangerous.

Just concerned for you because it’s your first time taking it and they warn against consuming alcohol on Baclofen.

Good point. I haven't been able to drink for at least 15 years, can't mix alcohol
and my blood pressure meds.

Well, I did it once, had about an ounce of wine and did not feel well at all.

So I just don't think about others mixing alcohol and meds.

I'd talk politics with your mental health professionals. Recipes, the weather, your choice in a silver pattern, anything but meds.

I think you might have a better time with them discussing the Fall line of clothing and shoes.

Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

i want to do that.

i'm having a hard time. they're loud tonight. and i finally took my PRNs over an hour ago, i think...or maybe only ...****, i can't tell time right now at all.

it's like i can't subtract numbers because they've just been at me all day long. and when i took them they were full on yelling. and it just distracts me into my own head but it's hell in there, but it's not just IN there.

the voices can see what i'm typing right now. so i'm never really alone but i'm not always harassed and i forgot how ****ty it feels after a relatively short period of time.

i still need to take my night meds.

and there we are again...chaos; calamity! i'm so tired and i'm supposed to accept all of this? and that i'm having to be medicated when

people ...if you knew some of the **** i've pulled when unwell... i'm worried that i'm "that kind" of mentally ill person. or, more specific than that, but i don't want to say it right now.

i've done a lot of really messed up things. and most of the self surgeries and ..you know, the attempts, which are even less numerous than the former group of things i've done. but i've done some criminal stuff. ever wonder why i was on court ordered depot injections?

i broke into a radio station. with means of severing wires because i believed that it was the origin of the voices in my walls, and got 100% caught and almost charged with felonies and federal **** because the way the law works in communications. they could've totally killed the **** out of me, too, because that's often what police officers do to mentally ill people.

and none of that is the worst thing i've done. i've been, like, "that kind of ________" a couple of times, but once it really got out of control.

Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

I'm no fool (well, that kind of fool), so no, I would not drink alcohol with that med, especially because it was my first time taking it.

After it wore off, I experienced two side effects...

A dizziness/lightheadedness unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It feels like a combination of being underwater and having slipped a lobe, like there's an air bubble in my head. It's only noticeable when I turn my head, so I'm trying to not turn my head.

The other is muscle weakness in my legs. After I walked up the half-dozen steps to the front door of the building my apartment is in, I thought I was going to fall down because it felt like my legs were going to give out/collapse.

So when my legs stumble a little, it changes the position of my head, so there I am, bent over, holding my knees, floating in the deep sea, crying out "f*uck!"

That all said, it was worth having a few hours where my rector femoris/quadriceps/muscle on top of thigh wasn't hard as a stone and firing jolts of electric zing down my leg.

Ooh Baby,
Ian

More rain. Not yet, but today and all week long. It is 68 right now and the birds are going great guns out there.

SO much going on but given the nature of it I will need to prattle lightly and I loathe not being able to tell all.

Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

I'm considering trying to learn how to ride a horse once I've passed my driving test, I've found a couple of stables that I can get to by car, one I could possibly get to on a pushbike but I don't know for sure, which is why I'm aiming to get driving test passed first. I don't know if I'd be capable of riding a horse either, never been on the back of one before.

Riding a horse is something I've wanted to do since I was a teenager (I think it's because my best friend at the time went horse riding and I could see how much she enjoyed it)

idk though ............. maybe it's something I'll never do ...........

I was really resistant to taking meds at first, especially when the doctor told me
I'd have to take a med for high blood pressure every single day for the rest of
my life.

But I finally decided it was better than not taking it and very likely having a
heart attack or a stroke. The probability was very high in my case.

It came down to balancing the risks versus the benefits. Benefits won.

Sounds like it may not be so simple for you. It may have been simple for me,
but it was still hard to accept depending on that pill every day for the rest of
my life.

My granddaughter Nove loves horseback riding. I'll bet you'd love it too.

What is a pushbike?
