What are you reading?

I never used to be that much of a reader, but I've slowly got into reading and I'm enjoying it.

At the moment I am reading;

Awaken The Giant Within - Anthony Robbins.

Deception Point - Dan Brown.

Taming The Tiger: Tibetan Teaching For Improving Daily Life - Akong Tulku Rinpoche

What are you reading?

Re: What are you reading?

Wish I knew how to read normal. The words all become a circle of chaos a few sentences in.

Re: What are you reading?

Since I finished Great Farmers Volume I and V II is nowhere to be found I settled on The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.

I love Jules Verne.

Re: What are you reading?

I find that when I don't read for a long while, it becomes difficult. Must fight my way through for a while -- at first it really is a lot of gibberish.

Re: What are you reading?

lol I don't often finish what I start reading (I use to be better at this!)...

Right now I'm halfway through:

The Lord Of The Rings (half way through The Two Towers)
Guardians Of Ga'Hoole (book #1, the capture)
Ready Player 1
Anne Frank (haha it's a very small book...still...I've been reading it for over a year and I'm only halfway through it!)
And I just finished The Book Of Mathew last night (the first chapter in the New Testament of the Bible...lol believe it or not, I've actually read the entire Old Testament (though I only comprehended like 2% of it! >.<' ).

It's not that I don't like to read...I actually love it...it's just I often get bored eventually of what I'm reading.

6 or 7 years ago I purchased the entire set of Harry Potter books and read every single one of them, one after another (all 7 of them!). Took me something like two months...but I loved every minute!

I use to love picking up completely random books once in awhile...especially when I was out on a trip somewhere and to read the book...haha once picked up a very adult rated book called the Wind Dancer by Iris Johasen. I picked it up at some random gift shop in Las Vegas...lol it was a good book...just really XXX rated in bits! omg! I honestly had no idea books got so hot and steamy!! xP

I've also got a book shelf with all the books I've read set up cause I'm so dang proud of the books I've read xP. It always feels like a big accomplishment to read a book to me. I'm not sure why. I have a neighbor who goes through a book every few days.

I've gotten quite bad about it over the last 5 years though. I have read my way through entire books...but it's become more and more difficult for a book to hold my interest...and I'm a slow reader. I'm not someone who can read an entire book in just a day or 2. A book usually takes me at least a week to get through (more than enough time for me to get bored).

Re: What are you reading?

Just finished up "Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story" by Chuck Klosterman, and re-read "Food Rules: An Eater's Manual" by Micheal Pollan

Grabbed a book on non-native trees in my area and just ordered a field guide for wild foraging.

Re: What are you reading?

Haha yeah I get easily bored if I don't enjoy the book. I used to struggle to read more than 5/6 pages, but practice takes perfect and I just try and focus and slowly increase how many pages I read and now I'm reading faster and many more pages.

I've finished the taming the tiger, still reading the Anthony Robbins book, but it is quite big.

I've started reading Dan Brown - Deception point which is really good.
