Unhappy Straterra vs. Ritalin LS

Can anyone tell me if they felt a positive or negative difference when going from Ritalin LA to Straterra. I am very frustrated and not sure if the Staterra is working well. The DR started me on Concerta, it worked great for a few hours and made my tummy feel yucky. We increased the dose to the max my body weight could take and did not have the long term effect I should have. We then tried Ritalin LA which had a similar effect, It lasted about 4 hours and then I would take another dose. Again we went to the max my body weight can take which would help from about 9-5.
I am now on Staterra and do not feel the same impact on my focus concentration or organization abilities and tend to get agitated (short tempered if interupted when doing something) I have been taking staterra for about 40 days. I started with 40, then 60 and have been on 80 mg for 3 days.
Any feedback would be appreciated

I'm not on Straterra but I also took Concerta and has stomach problem from it too and I was only was only talking between 18 and 36 mg of it. I just switched to Ritalin LA a this week. So far so good with the stomach. This is weird that you DR upped both the Concerta and the Ritalin LA to match your body weight. Strattera is actually the only AD/HD medication in which dosage is adjust by a person weight.

Smile Straterra vs Ritalin LS

Livingwithadd,

Thanks for your response, please keep me posted on your success with Ritalin LA.

I should clarify on the dosage my Dr. recommended - we started on lower doses which were not effective and went up in dose until we hit the max dose recommended for my body weight. I was taking 120mgs (2 in the am and another 2 around 2pm). I weigh about 120.
I spoke with the DR yesterday and told him I was feeling yucky, but he wanted me to hang in another week. BLAH
