WB and Anger
I have noticed comments about anger and WB. Is this widespread or just a case by case issue with someone taking WB. Has anyone noticed that the anger diminishes after you taken for a period of time?ffice

nivek,
When I first started on Wellbutrin, I did notice my fuse was a tad shorter; nothing major, but I became more vigilant because of it. On the other hand, when I started WB our dog became critically ill, my dad had major surgery and my much needed summer break was approaching. Who knows?

I have been on WB for a couple/three months now at 300mg.
I've noticed that in times of high stress (which is too often) I have a shorter fuse than usual. However, during those times I have also noticed that I no longer get enraged. I am able to channel my anger and speak my mind clearly and directly. I used to go from mr. peaceful to psychopathic killer type rage and I couldn't get a word out....just steaming like a Bull who just saw red. It's not like that at all anymore. I think it's like most people without ADD. Everybody gets a short fuse now and then. How you deal with it during that time makes the difference. Not whether or not you have one. IMO. WB has helped me deal better and get over it much faster than ever before.

They don't really want to deal with their issues. They just want to whine and complain and have someone else listen and tell them everything is going to be OK! Well, everything is NOT going to be OK unless you learn to handle whatever comes your way. |

I did great on it at 150 mg of XR. At 300, I was angry ALL the time, and generally unpleasant to be around. It can be a dosage thing, in other words. I was told by my doctor at the time to cut back right away because it should not be having that effect. I was glad to do it.

Well I am glad I am not the only one that has experienced the fits of anger even with out taking WB. I have started takening 300 XL mg last friday and so far so good, just a mild sleep distrubence in the night. I have been on 150 XL since Nov. 2004
I agree with you guys that it does seem to help that inital reponse to a delay and less intense, I hope the 300 XL will make it even better. Fightbordem you could have said it better. Quote:

Fightingbordem, I meant to say you described my experiences exactly. Ignore the "you could have said it better"

I had taken wb 300ml. for the past 3 years and then I stopped so I could try my ADD meds with nothing else in my system.I decided to try it with my adderal,I had heard that it worked well with the ADD meds.I DID NOT LIKE THE EFFECT I GOT!!I cant explain it,my happiness was all but a tiny flame of what it was.It was very strange and im going to stay clear of it while im on ADD meds.
