Wellbutrin and shortness of breath

Has anyone ever had this happen while on wellbutrin? Went to see doctor and she did ekg, chest x-rays, and breathing treatment all was well.
I have shortness of breath and it feels like someone is sitting on my chest. She told me to stop Wellbutrin for 1 week and see if this stops if it does start again and see if it returns. I am in my first week taking Wellbutrin Sr 150 1x a day for 1 week than increase to 2.
We will see what happens.

I have not had that symptom, but, then, I might not notice, as I have asthma as well. I don't remember my asthma being worse on Wellbutrin. Your doctor gave you good advice. I hope it works out well.

I've read others posts that said they found it quite easy to quit smoking when taking WB. You might want to try it.

Also, you might want to consider looking into whether you have some sort of co-existing anxiety or panic attacks. In my case taking certain meds made this condition very prevalent. So much so that I now take anti-anxiety meds in certain situations.

And I'm sick of giving people advice. They don't listen. They don't really want to deal with their issues. They just want to whine and complain and have someone else listen and tell them everything is going to be OK!

Well, everything is NOT going to be OK unless you learn to handle whatever comes your way.

I have nbot experienced that on welbutrin. What you describe sounds a lot like an anxiety attack. You need to stay close to your doctor on this.

Just noticed your post about having shortness of breath on wellbutrin. I had the same experience after trying adderall xr for 2 weeks (felt like someone sitting on my chest). Went to the clinic yesterday and was told to stop taking it until I could get back in to see my psychiatrist. Doc said it appeared I was having high anxiety and she suspected it was a side effect of taking adderall so I was given ativan to calm down. It's been more than 24 hours now since I took adderall but I still have the same shortness of breath. I'm so dissappointed because I had very high hopes with the adderall as it seemed to really be helping with my add. Anyway, I guess it's back to the starting line...
