That over-caffinated feeling...

Hi all-

I'm still in the process of tracking down the best meds for my treatment. Doc started me on (generic) Prozac for depression, and eventually came to the conclusion I had ADD as well. Well, several meds later, Wellbutrin (made me feel better about life, but look forward to death. Kinda weird) Concerta (whoa, red line the engine but can't get into gear!) and Adderal (still no help focusing, and messed up my mental being nmore than helped- and I slept a *lot*)

Through it all I'm still on Prozac. It seems to be helping at least a little, but I'm still not 'me'. Lately I've been having feelings of almost a pressure in my chest, like I've had too much caffine. (Poor description, but the best I can come up with) I'm sleepy at the same time though so it's not like I have the energy that comes with the caffine. Is this typical, and any idea what it is? It's been at least two weeks since I stopped any of the other meds.

Thanks for any insights,

Craig

Well, the first thing I have to think about is if it really is JUST depression. I hope you and your doc find the solution soon. Has he/she tried any other SSRI's and what have your reactions been to those?

I had a miserable time with antidepressants. If I didn't feel like a zombie I was hyper/manic or went into a deeper darker depression. It finally came down to mood stabilizers when we discovered the true root of the problem.

Best of luck to you

Too much coffee is not good. I have a fair bit of coffee in the morning but stop by noon.
