Mental health crisis calls showing storm's grim effects
I seen this on nola.com, it's was in the Times, December 31. I just figured I should post it http://www.nola.com/search/index.ssf...55090.xml?nola
A state mental health agency said Friday that calls to its crisis hotline have mushroomed since Hurricane Katrina, which increasingly is driving vulnerable people to drugs, the bottle, domestic violence and worse. In October, calls to mental health counselors on the agency's hotline -- 1-800-749-2673 -- were averaging about three a day, said Morton. I figured this would be a good number to call if you or anyone you know need help.
