Songs Pop into Brain?

Anyone else feel like they have songs popping in their head all the time? There are some mornings and times that I catch myself humming and signing before I realize I am even doing it. There are other times that, regardless of your situation or circumstance, I can think of a song almost instantly that matches your situation.

The usual caveat..if this ain't you, ignore this post and forget how crazy ole Kokomo is...if you have this too, tell me more!!

I don't normally have songs intrude in my head, but at one time I worked with a fun group of people and we enjoyed putting songs in each others heads -
annoying songs like Sesame Street an ad jingle.
It's hard to feel cool when you have, "Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street!" bellowing in your head

It may be the impulsive side of my add but I tend to hum along with the songs in my head while I'm at work. Nobody's complained yet, and I've been doing it for years. (My voice, though untrained, ain't bad if I do say so myself) Occaisionally I even break into song.

KoKomo,
Songs pop into my head all the time...sometimes they are familiar faves and sometimes they are just a product of my overactive brain. If you're fortunate enough to have the second, write em down and get em published. I've parlayed mine into a sideline as a lyricist...there are times when ADHD comes in handy.

A word inspires a song for me...for example...every time I see your username the song clicks on in my head...

Quote:
Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take you to
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo Montego, baby why don't we go
Ooh I wanna take you down to
Kokomo, we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
That's where we wanna go, way down in Kokomo.
I really hate you for this. :P

Me too! Especially with his old avatar, the bright tropical pictures.

When I see chameleon's I think "karma karma karma karma karma chameleon!"

I always randomly break out in song. My life is like a musical! Good thing I am an elementary school teacher, my class usually just starts singing along if they know the words!

Interesting Chloe...so if your life had background music, what would the song be and why?
Question to everyone else too.

Isn't there a thread similar to that??

Hmmmmm, my theme song..."My bonnie lies over the ocean..."

Really can't think of one right now, I'll have to get back to you on that one!

I prefer to think my life has a soundtrack rather than just one song!

Try sitting on the front row at Mass (something my wife likes to do) and then have "Iron Man" pop into your head.

Oh...that's hilarious!! We have a game for the PS2 called Guitar Hero...my kids love to jam Iron Man!!! So funny! Glad so many of you have stereos in your head too!

I will have to bring back the other avatar soon, I miss it, but thought Spicoli would be a nice change of pace!

...wait u mean people don't have songs playing in their head most of the time?

i seem to link words to songs which can be quite irritating since words tend to be a commonly used thing, i could be talking to a mate and he could say something like "back" and i'ld link that to "baby come back!, budda bye bye bye bye bye budda bye bye bye bye, i admit i was a clown to be messing around, but that doesn't mean that u have to leave town, come back, come back with my colour tv and my cd collection of bob marley"....omg i can't believe i remembered all those words, i haven't heard that song for ages lol, and i never really listened to it that much...but ANYway, thats an example lol

unfortunately since i'm kinda music oriantated i have a vast array of music stored in my head, one for every occation, i was at a funeral and u know the song take 5, never have that going through ur head during a funeral because the unusual time signature detracts from the overall morbidity of the event.

*curse bil bailey for pointing it out*

....i can't stay mad at bb, he's too much of a musically genious...ok stopping now i think i've rambled a lil
