ritalin and weight gain?
Has anyone else that has taken ritalin had any weight gain? Over 8 years ago I started ritalin and never lost weight, i never lost appetite just got old and hungrier. I often wonder if because the meds more or less slowed me down was this why i gained weight.
oh well. Safu

Hmm... never thought of it that way.
In theory it makes many people less hungry but obviously if you were very hyper before and it calms you down, you tend to burn less energy so I could well imagine it indirectly caused you to gain a bit of weight, especially if you are not affected by the side effects that cause a slight decrease in appetite.

I was on Ritalin for 12 years and never lost weight. I either stayed at weight, or put on a few pounds.
