Getting school records

I was in special education and had an IEP thing. My dad told me that the school diagnosed me as Inattentive ADD; I am going to the doctor next week and thought that the IEP that says I have ADD would be helpful. But I have been out of high school for 4 years, what are the odds that I could get a copy from the school.

I was going to call, but I am not even sure who I would call and it doesn’t seem likely they would keep them this long.

Excellent. Go to your guidance counciler and tell them your problem.

You want copies of;
-Last IPRC and IEP
-all testing
-any sort of documented observations of you

Chris, an old friend of mine got hers from the archives, and they were over 15 years old!

good luck ;-)
Have you asked your parents if they have any old ones. I couldn't believe that my Mum found 2 of mine from year 8, and that was in 1978!!

I was lucky and got mine on the day all the guidance councellors were cleaning out the old files and throwing things away - they hadn't gotten to mine yet. Went all the way back to jr. kindergarten.
