Concerta 18mg + ritalin 20mg

my doctor prescribed me 36 mg concerta for school days and then 18 mg concerta for weekends. i ran out of the 36 mg so my doctor gave me an okay to take an 18mg concerta + 20 mg ritalin (its not the XR) until my next apt (next week). i don't feel like this is as effective as just taking the 36 mg concerta-

Undoubtedly its not. That Ritalin is only going to last 4 hours, tops, and the smaller dose of Concerta is nowhere near what you normally need to get relief. I suggest asking the doc about taking 10 mgs Ritalin every 4 hours in addition to the little 18 mg tablet Concerta.
