adderal to stratterra

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place. I am a new viewer of this site and I too have Adult add...wow! I am 30 and have known all my life that I probably have had this. I was diagnosed 6 months ago and was put on adderal. I notice insomnia, mood swings and dizziness. My body seems to be adjusting but my doctor has started me on stratterra 25mg along with adderal and soon we will taper off the adderol. What do you all think??

sometimes it takes a while to figure out what meds work for you. i am on 80 mg of strattera and just started withn a small dose of adderall xr in the am. I really like this combination. I am able to focus alot better and have become better at stating what I really mean.

Thanks for the reply. I am on 50 mg of adderal xr and 25 of straterra..he wants me to work up to 80 onstratterra and taper down slowly on adderal...the adderall can have some crazy highs and lows..be careful..I hope the straterra can level out my mood swings..thanks

I've never heard of combining the two... My doctor hasn't mentioned anything about it... And I didn't ask either....
I just got back from the doctor with a prescrip for adderall 20mg twice a day. I will admit with you crazyin04 that the mood swings are crazy and I'm wondering if I'm ready for it. I remember being very irritable at times.... that I couldn't stand to have people around me.. even at night with a loved one. I have NO insurance... just found out this script is $200 bucks. Geezzzz

How has the Adderall treated you over the last 6 months?

Have you noticed a difference with the strattera so far?
