walmart 4 dollar adhd meds

Someone told me the other day that wal-mart has expanded their new 4 dollar list and now some ADHD meds are included....does anyone know if this is true and if so, which meds are on the list?

Re: walmart 4 dollar adhd meds

It's true that they expanded their list, but unfortunately I do not see any ADHD medications on there.

Here's their $4.00 medications list: http://i.walmart.com/i/if/hmp/fusion...icdruglist.pdf

Re: walmart 4 dollar adhd meds

Yeah, that would be nice though, wouldn't it? $4 per month for Dex or Addy would be a dream... since I have to pay $75 per doctor visit!

On a semi-related note... I did notice from the link that Lars posted, that Wal-Mart is now offering Sprintec and Tri-Sprintec (generic Ortho Cyclen and Ortho Tri-Cyclen, respectively) for just $9 per pack. That's so great that Wal-Mart is offering so many meds at affordable prices.

Now they just need to add some generic Dexedrine and generic Adderall to that list...

Re: walmart 4 dollar adhd meds

I read in a newspaper that walmart would start $4 ADHD drugs also it didnt mention when or what drugs would be covered though but it would be cool to actually be able to afford meds.http://money.cnn.com/2007/09/27/news/companies/walmart_healthcare/

Rudegar, Ive read that now several places too, but there is no adhd med on their 4 dollar list yet...maybe in the future....i have a feeling that when they do it will be generic ritalin and maybe dexedrine.

I doubt we'll see any schedule II drugs on that list any time soon.

Re: walmart 4 dollar adhd meds

Costco now has a similar program (for Costco members without insurance only though) that is supposed to be structured the same as the Wal-Mart plan. Focalin XR is actually on the list but the pricing isn't though.

Re: walmart 4 dollar adhd meds

Good article with a roundup of many of the $4 or $9.99 prescription plans:

Walmart (and other) $4 Prescriptions

Personally, it's nice to see WalMart, usually called out for "screwing the little guy", doing something that's beneficial beyond cutting prices. The trickle down effect of their move is making medicine affordable for many.

Wal-Mart has generic Ritalin for $4.
I called and asked yesterday about it.
