Does anyone know the equivelent of 36mgs of Concerta to Adderall?

I was on Adderall 30mgs a day when I finally got the full effect of ADD medications. Althought that was great and all, the side effects were horrible and I was switched to Concerta. I've now worked up to 36 mgs and I'm not feeling any different besides having headaches, ear congestion and a bit of a backache.

Am I on the equivelent of 30mgs of Adderall with 36 mgs of Concerta?

No I don't right off the top of my head. But I will tell you they have conversion charts for all different types of prescription drugs. And they are not very difficult to find. Good luck with your search.

You probably are. I've taken both and I was on 36mg of Concerta. The thing is, even though both are stimulant medications, they have different chemical compounds that will work differently with different brain chemistries. I've had great efficacy with Adderall. When I took Concerta, I might as well ate candy.

Concerta contains the same substance as Ritalin (mehtylphenidate), while Adderall (in generic referred to as mixed salts of amphetamines) contains a combination of amphetamines and dextroamphetamine.

You might need to switch to a different class of stimulants or a lower dosage of Adderall with a combination of one or two other meds to help in the regulation of neurotransmitter activity.

36mg = 20mg
54mg = 30mg
72mg = 40mg
90mg = 50mg
108mg = 60mg
