anyone like their strattera?

My son has recently been diagnosed with adhd and the doc has started him on strattera. I noticed a difference with him the first day. He called his grandma to tell her "i haven't got into trouble all day!" He was so proud of himself. I'm still new to this and the meds and how extensivly everyone reacts differently to their add is overwhelming to me. I have read alot of negative comments about the strattera posted and was hopeing to hear from anyone who has been affected positivly. He is primaraly hyperactive and that is what is noticed way before his innatention. It seems to be helping but i'd love feedback. Thanks

I'm glad that the Strattera works for your son. The anicdotal evidence I've seen is that is for some people it works wonders, for others nothing - and not much in between. And if it helps the hyperactivity, super, since that is the hardest ADHD symptom to treat (using ritalin to treat hyper symptoms is what has given ritalin a bad name - you need to use a lot!).
Regards,
Greg

Thanks for the feedback I didn't know that about ritalin. I have so much to learn.

I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones--strattera doesn't seem to be doing much for me. The side effects aren't bad, but with little or no benefits, what's the point.
