Thumbs up Show Love for your Critters!

We "own" them, but the fact is they really own us. We love them because they show unconditional love in return. They don't judge us based on looks, color, religion, political affiliation, habits, or procrastination.......they just love us.

So, it's time we posted pics of our furry little friends who so often help us get through our toughest times.

Here are my two.

Let's see yours!

Re: Show Love for your Critters!

Awww cute cats scarygreengiant

Poppy

Tango

Had these since I was 8, I begged my parents to get kittens and would you believe my luck, they gave in! I remember the day we picked them up, Tango climbed out of the box, climbed up the passenger seat and got his head stuck underneath the head rest
They both have the breed Maine Coon in them, which can be noticed by their big ears, long body and fluffiness Although the fluffiness, plus being large, is more noticeable in Tango. Poppy unfortunately has an overactive thyroid, which in a nutshell means she has weight loss issues, vomiting and diarrhoea it's not easy to stabilise either. Poor thing =(

And since you mention them being there for us...get this - if someone is crying, Tango will get upset too and come up close to you to see if you are ok he'll sit right by you and nuzzle you as if to say "Don't cry, it's ok!"

Cats are great, they are so funny and intelligent, and they really do keep me company when I'm home alone! One of them is always sat on my lap or next to me, purring. Or treading on my laptop and then the enter key, sending the message, "kjreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeee" to someone on MSN!

Wink Re: Show Love for your Critters!

haha No hes not def thank goodness but you are right about the def trate in dalmations.....im a vet tech and have seen lots of them tho. there smart and if trained do very well with signs and signals from you. but My boy Arson is not def and listens better than my kids do thats for sure lol! hes gotten me through LOTS of crappy days and i will always be grateful for him being in my life when i needed him. Having a pet is a very good addition to your actual MEDS lol and with pets there are no side effects and you dont need insurance or a prescription! haha

P.S. all of you guys have some of the cutest dogs and cats i have seen in awhile and i have seen many in my days at work. seriously that lab is adorable!

and to the Grate Dane pic with the beer do me a favor dont drink and drive.....haha

LOL...I agree!

Interesting story to go along with her. The lab's name is "Chunk" and she was a street rescue at 3 days old. My g/f is a teacher and there was a stray by her school who had just given birth to 5 puppies. My g/f of course could not let those little babies stay outside. so she scooped all of them and "mom" up and brought them home.

Unfortunately, one of the puppies died shortly after bringing her home, but we were able to raise and adopt out all of the other puppies AND "mom". However, "Chunk" was such a fat, obnoxious, pushy little brat that we just had to keep her. She turned out to be a wonderful dog....extremely sweet and expressive.

Here's a video I made of "Chunk" and her moronic brother "Goofball"....

Enjoy!

Gary
