New here, so happy to find a forum for ADD women!

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum, and very grateful I found this. I'm convinced I've got ADHD, have the referral to go see the Dr. and get my diagnosis. It's something I've suspected since my 20s, but just didn't do anything about it, and I've noticed in my 30s it's gotten considerably worse.

The more I read about it, the more things about my childhood make sense.

So how about this for "a sign you have ADHD"? I got the referral from my Dr. (after making a second appointment - forgot to mention it in the first one), and I called to make my appointment for my diagnosis. I had to leave a message and was called back by the referral Dr., who had to leave a message for me. I have been "too busy, too stressed, etc." to call back, and now I've lost the referral slip. My apartment is in such disarray it's going to take me forever to find it, which makes me procrastinate and put it off more.

The goal is to find the referral (or get a new one) and make the appointment this week. This forum is a big help! I just wish I had figured this out 20 years ago.

It's amazingly helpful to read posts from other women with the same problems. Thank you in advance for all of the help this will provide!

New Here

From one newbie cat to another
Hey!!!

I just posted a rather lengthy intro over in that part
of the bordz but I hear ya.

I hear ya kat - I hear ya ---- I have lost my insurance card so many times, I had to go to my reg doctor, get a copy of what he had to bring to the specialist cause they wouldnt see me without proof of insurance (and they wouldnt call to verify). In the meantime, I called insurance and requested a duplicate card, never received it - havent got around to calling again.

I finally went to the website and ordered a new card from there.
Still waiting for it.

Look forward to posting with you soon.
Yes, reading these posts have been EXTREMELY helpful I have been reading for quite some time, finally posted an intro today.
