Concerta and Antidepressants

Are any of you taking an Antidepressant with Concerta.

I think I deffinately need something.
Between the marriage issues and discovering my ADD, I feel like crud all of the time.

I am currently taking 54mg of Concerta every morning.

I just want some info about working and non-working combinations before I see the doctor about the depression.

I am thinking that wellbutrin sounds best because of the lesser side-effects, but it is part stimulant (from my understanding), so I am not sure if it is used with Concerta.

Lots of people take an antidepressant with Concerta (and other stimulants as well). Wellbutrin is very popular and stimulant like so it may affect your sleep more than other antidepressants because of this and its long half life.
I would urge you to try an antidepressant if you are feeling down - the side effects are very mild for most people and they do work very well - I know that I am a much happier person when taking them and even though I would not classify myself as depressed at the moment, I continue to take them because they do improve my quality life. (I take Remeron because it doesn't give me any sexual side effects and because it helps me sleep)
Good luck,
Greg

i've been taking an anti-depressant called efexor for a little over a year. i take 225 mg every morning.
i've been on concerta (54 mg) for eight weeks.
this works for me, and i don't have any side effects at all...

I've been on Lexapro 20mg and Wellbutrin XL 300mg since late Feb. and 54mg of concerta since early June. You'd think I'd be bouncing off the walls, but I feel really tired most of the time. Sluggish, zoning out during important conversations....just blah.

Red face anxiety plus add

i used to take effexor for 1yr.1/2.i got off it about 1 month ago and i started feeling my anxiety over again.it helped alot w/add too.it made me feel very confident,i wasn't
scared to be around people, helped concentrate, but since i'm married it did affect our intimate relationship.now i take straterra now (only that) just started 1 week ago and
the doctor said that should help w/anxiety plus add,so i hope it does.if not then i would have to ask the doctor what would help me ,but not affect my marriege.hope you find the solution.

I have been taking Wellbutrin SR (200mg 2x a day) for several years and it works great. I had no side effects from it whatsoever. It has really helped my depression and anxiety (which I was first diagnosed with). Several months ago my doc had me try Wellbutrin XL but that did not work for me at all. I just started Concerta 2 days ago (I was diagnosed with ADD about 8 months ago and was on Adderall for awhile but built up a tolerance to it) but have had nothing good come out of it. My doc gave me 36mg 2x a day to start out with! I thought this was a large amount so I only took the morning dosage the first day and felt sick and had a headache and just felt confused and out of it. Today I decided to try it the way he prescribed it and it was HELL. When both were in me I became overly emotional and was crying without realizing it for no reason. I felt really sick to my stomach, horrible headache, terrible anxiety, etc. All of these side effects I had had earlier as well but they increased.
