Strattera, Wellbuterin XL, and Adderall XR

I'm taking all 3 currently. Anyone have feedback or experiences? I only take the Adderall XR 20mg as needed. I also just had my Wellbuterin increased to 300mg today. I'm at day 11 of the Strattera starter pack which is 60 mg. So far the only noticeable difference was lack of what little sex drive I have.

Well, I had a long explanation of my experience with Adderall, Wellbutrin, Strattera and even Cymbalta with regard to sex drive, then checked and saw that you're a guy, so my experience isn't relevant to you since I'm not!

I will tell you that MY guy takes adderall and it has a negative effect. I don't think with drive so much as things working properly...

Also, I've read that WB and Strattera should not be taken together. Can't remember where at the moment, but if interested, let me know and I'll find it.

Thanks for the information. I realize that the mechanics are different but I'm sure that things are more relevant than you might think. I don't have issues with the mechanics per se, but because of the reduced sex drive and desire the mechanics can be affected. So feel free to share your experience and any other information you have. It is greatly appreciated. Also, did your b/f mention whether his desire and drive were impacted or just the mechanics or both. (I'm trying to be tactful when referencing erections, in case it isn't obvious )
I have also read on http://www.crazymeds.us/ that the combo wasn't recommended but my Dr. said there wouldn't be an issue.

I took Cymbalta for 4 years before I was diagnosed ADHD. Perfect drug for me, but killed sex drive. Mechanics worked, but delayed (trying to be tactful also.) That was manageable, but didn't realize how much the drive was killed until I stopped taking it. What an eye opener. I wasn't happy.

Adderall really increases my sex drive and I think it does for most women. Wellbutrin really does too--even more than adderall. Adderall and Wellbutrin together was strange. Drive still intact and healthy, but mechanics changed. Kind of hard to describe. The finale was sort of indefinite, which is a pretty good thing, but not as strong. Weird. But that combo made me crazy--happy to ****ed as hell in the blink of an eye, so stopped that one pretty quickly.

I'm trying Strattera now with Adderall since it affects NE, like Cymbalta, but without the seratonin influence. Adderall focuses me, but zaps my motivation entirely unless what needs doing is on my desk, so I'm hoping to get the motivation I got from Cymbalta without the sex drive kill--that is assuming that it came from the seratonin influence, which is a reasonable assumption. Too soon to know results on this.

As for the b/f, I think it's just mechanics--I don't think anything could kill the drive there, but I will ask. I'm curious myself, especially since he just started taking it daily, which he has always resisted for these very reasons we're discussing. So he's gone from 30 mg IR every other day, to 30 mg IR every day.

I asked if you started them all at the same time because that would make it pretty hard to figure out the culprit! And it was crazy meds where I saw the Strattera/WB don't play well together stuff too...

yeah but why call it mechanics.. I think mechanics is just all wrong , you can't use mechanics to abbreviate something like that.

Why can't I? Mechanics applies appropriately as a description for maintaining or achieving an erection. However, for female mechanics, the actual things are a little more simplistic.

Thanks for the info. I also have, at times, that "blink of an eye" mood shift.

I first started on Adderall IR which gave me the same effect you describe. XR is much more mild but currently not strong enough. I actually felt like I regressed somewhat the last few days into lack of focus and motivation. Also, I am on my 17th day of Strattera and it's interesting. The last 2 days I woke up and felt lethargic and in a fog all day. Today I felt much better. It was my final increase in dose from the starter pack at 80mg. I'm also on 300mg of Wellbuterin, and Adderall XR 20mg as needed, which is often.

I've noticed that I have no increase in drive or desire and at times it seems reduced and I'm wondering if it's from the Strattera. The most noticeable side effect from Strattera is urinary hesitance. This may be too much information but after an orgasm it is nearly impossible to urinate even if I have to severely go.

I started Wellbuterin 150mg, Adderall IR 10-15mg. Then strattera was added 2 weeks later and Wellbuterin was increased to 300mg along with being switched to Adderall XR 20mg.

I checked with the b/f as promised. He said the Adderall does affect his drive as well as "ability." I might also add that it makes him cranky and not very fun to be around--he gets so freaking serious! I definitely prefer him unmedicated.

As for me, Strattera seems to be going well. I decided to stop the Adderall for a while to see what the Strattera does by itself. That set me a back a bit since I was initially trying them together, so I stopped the Strattera to get the Adderall out of my system then started the Strattera over. So now I'm just a few days into the Strattera at 40 mg, and my motivation has already increased and so has my mood, with no side effects other than the restless sleep. I had that in the beginning with Cymbalta too, and it passed so I'm not too concerned about it.

Fingers crossed and hoping the current trend continues! It's been tough trying to find something that helps with the ADD without making my fuse even shorter than it already was or killing my sex life!
