Just got brand name adderal, 10 ir, blue with "dp" imprint

I decided to try brand name adderall because generic has too many horrible side effects for me. i was wondering if anyone had experience with this one. the only thing i could find online is that it's made by the same company as generic and doesn't work as well as the old brand name adderal (they switched to this).

That is Teva "brand". It is terrible.

Go back to generic and get Sandoz instead. It is the best available.

Shire Adderalls are imprinted with AD. The dp is Teva.

that's odd because my old generic ones clearly say barr. and on my new ones with the "dp" logo it says 'Shire US I" in that location.

I'm talking about the pill itself. Not the label.

They "should". But, it's far more likely that a human mislabeled the bottle than it is that they put the wrong imprint on the pills.

i went ahead and double checked with both the pharmacy and a pharmaceutical book (family friend is a pharmacist) and i think you have your information wrong. the "dp" imprint is in fact made by shire.

Re: Just got brand name adderal, 10 ir, blue with "dp" imprint

I'm declaring Chaos the winner here, until further review.

ADDitional, yours is the newer version from Teva, after Teva acquired Barr,of which Duramed was already a part of.
Duramed Pharmacueticals,is where the 'dp' comes from.
Now,Shire originally sold its rights to the brand name 'Adderall', to Duramed.

For the record,Sandoz is the most preferred, from feedback on this forum.

"Reflecting the change in manufacturers from Shire Pharmaceuticals to Teva's DuraMed Pharmaceuticals, the "imprint" on Adderall instant release tablets has changed. One side of the instant release tablets now bears the DuraMed Pharmaceuticals imprint, a lower case letter "d" over a lower case letter "p". This is a change from the previous upper case "AD" imprint on the tablets." (source from wiki)

PS: Can someone please help me stop researching stuff that concerns me only by curiousity ?
I could have mowed the lawn in the same amount of time.

Re: Just got brand name adderal, 10 ir, blue with "dp" imprint

lol

i did a bit of checking, and of course im going to check further, thought i would impulsively contribute my research.

the 'dp' label is Duramed, also division of Teva. Evidently they changed the inactive ingredients in the pill (more than likely to save money), and currently the new 'dp' adderall ir's arnt going over very well, people are reporting things from allergic reactions to "negative" feelings. I guess Teva knows about this.. anyway heres where i got that info.. it includes the contact info for Teva if your feeling proactive enough

LOL!! also, this is from Wikipedia:

"OOOOOOHHHH what a TANGLED web we WEA!VE!!!"

So yes.. you are both wrong. And you are both right.

Shire WAS the main brand name IR adderall'ers, Sold the IR rights TO Duramed Pharmeceuticals (DP), the DP company was then BOUGHT BY Teva in '08, and is produced FOR Teva, BY Duramed. So Teva now makes the brandname IR (Duramed) AND the generic IR (Barr). Nice one.

Skadoosh.. i totally win
