1. How effective was ritalin LA vs ritalin IR for you?
2. What dose are you guys taking?
3. Anyone respond to ritalin IR but not Concerta?
4. Anyone respond to ritalin LA but not concerta?

Ritalin LA took more time to start working
+ from some reason its takes too much time to the secound release to start working so there is a break bettwen them
2. What dose are you guys taking?
30 but soon wil upgrade to 40
3. Anyone respond to ritalin IR but not Concerta?
yes, I did, concerta from some reason worked only for half hour for me, after that, nothing.
4. Anyone respond to ritalin LA but not concerta?
yes, LA works


I heared people found concerta in their poop, so I guess its just piece of plastice with litle ritalin cover, some kind of evil Placebo experimant!

do you guys know how does the doctor fit the amount of dosage for every person?
I want to know because soon (I hope) I'll try the LA ritalin and I wonder how much mg of the LA ritalin the doctor will prescribe for me.

Hi Stefan,

The doctor will either start you on ritalin IR, at 5mg and titrate up until you find the dose that gives the best positive effects with that out weight side affects.

Once the dose is found he will move you to ritalin LA based on the total daily amount of ritalin instant release you use in two daily doses. For example if you find 10mg IR is enough, it lasts 4 hours, so the twice a day does would be 20mg. Hence he'd put you on Ritalin LA 20mg.

If he starts you straight on Ritalin LA he will start you at LA 10MG or LA 20MG and titrate up as before.

Yeah I agree there is something different about concerta compared to ritalin. My body can't take concerta well at all!

My doctor said to give Concerta another week and then call him for LA 30mg.

hi all. i cant see anyone with my problem. i take 10mg five times a day. sometimes cut them in half. after about 4 halves. i dont think i imagine what i am experiencing. i believe i will be killed. I was threatened to be killed by an ex about 2 years ago. since then i am better. in the beginning i was sure i would die. i even used push my bed against my door at night.
Now adays. i figured out i do not have these thoughts or feelings on days i dont take ritalin. i know nothing will happen to me. But every time i use again. i honestly know and feel i am followed when i am out. at at home i wonder when a knife will strike my back.

Ah okay,
That doesn't sound like a ritalin side effect. Maybe there is something else going on.
