Differences in Ritalin depending on Where you fill it
Hi
I was just wondering if others had noticed this. I have been on this for about 6-8 months. A couple months ago I went from 10mg twice a day to 20mg. I am going to see if I can get it where I can take 10mg again at like 5 pm if we are doing something where I need to not be spazzy. Anyway, getting sidetracked, sorry. One month I got it filled at Wal-mart because it was only like $5 or so. It was a mistake. It was like taking a sugar pill. It did nothing. I just kept my mouth shut and took them anyway. I didn't want to be trying to get another prescription and have the doctor's office think I was trying to pull something. My husband accused me of trying to not take my pills that whole month and thought I was lying about it, that I was throwing them away or something. That's how much of junk they were. I get it here at the local pharmacy now. It is worth paying $35 to get something that actually works. My pills I get here are white with an M on them and are 20mg. The Walmart ones were green or blue I think. How can there be so much variation? Or is it just me? I will never get any med filled there again because of this experience.

Re: Differences in Ritalin depending on Where you fill it
I have noticed definite differences between the various generic variants of Ritalin. In particular, where I am a lot of pharmacies are carrying one called 'methylin' which looks markedly different from the other tablets, and which I find it wears off significantly more quickly, and is significantly weaker, than other brands.
Unfortunately, this is the one I'm stuck taking now, as its what the pharmacy I can afford stocks. |

Re: Differences in Ritalin depending on Where you fill it
Ya different companies use different fillers in the pills, they're supposed to be "inactive" ingredients but that's total BS, my pharmacy switched brands on me and the new brand made me insanely lightheaded and drowsy, sound like what Ritalin is supposed to do? No.
