Frequency and Amount of dosage input.
I've lowered my dosage of ritalin(SR) from 40 mg three times a day, ( 120 mg a day total.)
To 20 mg four times a day, (80 mg total per day.) Taking the medication 4 times instead of 3 times with a lower dosage. The interesting issue I have is, that I seem to read better now at a lower dosage. Does this make sense? Does anybody know if to much ritalin can cause some type of impairment if the dosage is to high. FH |

Re: Frequency and Amount of dosage input.
Too high of a dosage has similar effects to being unmedicated or undermedicated. Symptoms return, hyperfocus is very prominent, can feel dazed, tired, unmotivated.
It makes sense that a lower dose could help more than a higher one, for that reason. Also, I've read that inattentive adhd is usually best treated with lower doses of stimulants than hyperactive or combined type. |
