Dextroamp-amphet prices

I have just been to my CVS to pick up my first prescription and with my United Healthcare card from work and my CVS card I still paid $74.15 for 30 20mg capsules. This seems expensive or am I just new to this medication?

I'm on the Dextro-Amp 10mg ER and it cost me $80 using the yourrxcard.com free discount card. Otherwise it would have been like $150 cash.

Actually, I just double checked and the retail price would have been $189.99, but I got it for $80.60.

Got my 60 10mg IR at walgreens for $30.

Are you all talking about the generic dextroamphetamine sulfate? Those are fairly inexpensive,no?
I'd like to know since I'm thinking about switching to that from Adderall XR, which costs me $60 (w/insurance) for 30 mg one-month supply.

Prices have skyrocketed for dextroamphetamine from Barr. The generic 15 mg capsule x 2 = 60 spansules at Walgreens came out to something around $160.00 - I was like "what?" but only paid $7.00 copay. Something oddly tells me it is the Barr/Teva acquisition BS and the Shire Adderall XR in the mix thing. The price for the Adderall XR 30 caps with 30 mgs has "oddly" remained stable around $233.99 without insurance and or a Walgreens card - however copay was only $25.00 (Tier 2 brand). Adderall XR from Walgreens has and always was around that price from what I can remember from 3 or 4 years ago.

I had to get it approved by my doctor before my insurance would cover it then get this I paid $389 for it today! I wont be taking the xr again next month there is no way in hell I can afford it. I'll ask the doc about switching to IR since it will be a $40 co pay for me, but then I have to go through the whole process of getting it ok'ed by my stupid insurance again! Oh yeah the price without insurance was $451..... insane!

i'm sorry to hear you all pay so much! fricken health care system in this country. I don't know if it's because i work in the health care field or just have been lucky enough to work at places with good health benefits. But I have to say I have never heard of paying THAT much for little capsules filled with even smaller capsules, filled with meds. If I was into poly relationships..I'd pretend marry the lot of you and put you under my health plan. $10 for IR or XR..90 pills a month.
