Increased pulse/blood pressure

In terms of minor increased blood pressure, pulse (and pounding heartbeats), I'm just wondering how long it took for some of these symptoms to come down once you started taking stimulants (assuming you were otherwise ok cardiac wise prior to taking stimulants).

My doc was saying that increases in blood pressure tend to come down over a couple months. Which is true (mine came back close to normal over a 6 weeks period). Pulse is still elevated (about 15-20 beats higher than it should be), but isn't as pounding anymore. I'm actually on vyvanse, but thought the Adderall group might have more experience. Curious to hear an additional perspective from someone who has actually taken these medications (in addition to my doctor).

I was wondering the same thing. Its been a week since I started and my heart is racing, even the day after when I'm not on Adderall. I think I might take today off from it, but I have some stuff to take care of and I can feel myself making excuses not to do things already. It feels like my heart is overworked, like that moment after you come to a halt from running, but its there throughout the day and feels tense. Also does the brand matter in these side effects? I'm on generic right now, but will try shire next.
