Question I don't want to take those pills!! Where's My Dexadrine?

If ever there is a day that I am in pain, I have pain pills but do not want to take them at all.

When I am sick and have a flu or a cold, I'd have the pills, but not want to take them unless I was severley run down.

I have been anemic more than a few occasions in my life and should be taking vitamins and iron but the pills are so huge I avoid them like the plauge!

Should there ever be a day that I am both in severe pain with a knock down cold and extremely pale....I would be in real bad shape, lemme tell ya...cause my mother has to remind me constantly to take them.....even then I feel like, "Ehhh I don't want to!"(Like a little kid, am I not) I still have half a bottle of Pain pills in my cabinet from 10 months ago.

On the other hand, meds that I have to take for my ADHD and Bipolar, I make it a point to take everyday without being reminded from the Mother of all Mother's, and make sure that I have enough to last until I can get more..because sometimes I run out too soon.

Different Pills that are for different cures, but still all in all PILLS! Why do I avoid some pills but so Hell bent on taking the others?

I'm like that too. Some things I don't need reminding but others you can tell me a thousand times and it will never sink in. Like that visit to the mother in-law. < g > I'm just not going to remember the date without a lot of help.

If it is something I'm interested in or have a stake in then it's no problem remembering. If I don't really want to do it then it is as good as gone from my mind.
Cheers! Ian.

My mental health is important to me a lot...if I know If I don't take them...I could get worse.

The Same concept is true with the other medications...for some reason...they are just not as important to me.

Question Dexadrine

Anyone but me have the jitters and shakes, muscle twitches in the hours AFTER Dexadrine wears off? This is supposed to happen when you are taking the stuff, but I feel fine and calm...its only 8 to 12hrs later that I start having twitches and the like...pharmacutial nurse, etc say it MUST be happening during the time I am ON the meds...duh...I think I can read a clock and know when I took the dose...

Can't say as I've had anything going on like that. Have you talked to your doctor or pharmacist?
