Brand new to Adderall, and an aspiring med school applicant
Hi everyone!
Glad to have found this forum and I really wanted to ask about my new prescription that I got for Adderall. Right now it's just the blue tablet 10mg.
I'm more of the aspergers-ocd type and the attention defecit that goes along with it. I guess the weird thing is that I wasn't told by my parents about this until right before I graduated college. I started seeing my doctor after being told by my parents and well...it has led me up to this point where the doctor recommended for me adderall to help my learning and concentration. I just started it this week but I do have some questions for everyone who is willing to help because the first time was a completely new experience for me, especially in focusing and learning.
1. Can you remember the information you learn while on adderall? I'm currently studying for my MCAT's, and after about 2 days of the prescribed adderall treatment, my focus has been through the roof, although I am curious if I will retain the information well enough to recall later on. This is to ask, can I even remember what I learn? I'm more curious to know how exactly this will affect me for my MCATs which are very important to me obviously.
2. What else can I take naturally to help my body with the adderall if reccomended? Also anything to aid with the memory retention as well? I do take a supplement from my health food store that has fish oils EPA and DGA, ginko, insolitol, folic acid and other basic vitamins.
3. How does the drug work more for long term effects?
4. any tips for a student like me to do better while using adderall as a prescription? I do get at least 7 hrs of sleep a night and do try my best to eat right and I do exercise a lot, especially cardiovascular.
any other comments would be extremely appreciated! Thanks a lot!
