Sexual arousal on concerta?

Hey all, an adult topic here.

I am an 18-year-old female and I'm new to stimulants in general. I was on concerta for a bit around this time last year, and just went back on it after a few months off. Though my almost embarrassingly high sex drive hasn't increased or diminished as far as I can tell, I've noticed that I'm physically not...responding as I normally do, and reaching orgasm (which I've never found difficult with my partner) is proving to be almost impossible, even with...extra help (i.e. a vibrator). Do any of you other women have this problem. And guys--any problems downstairs?

just got perscribed a few days ago. havnt hung out with a female on it yet so cant answer question completely but i can say orgasms are intense. first night, i took mine late so as to make sure i know what im gonna be like going about my day, i ended up not getting much sleep if any but was absolutely glued to the internet and musta came like 5 times.

in fact, id have to use the word hyper-sensitive.

hopefully your body just isnt used to it yet and once it is youll get back to normal.

I wouldn't say I'm more/less aroused but I'd say when I am aroused I have a tough time getting it going and keeping it there

I am on Adderall and about to change over to Concerta. While my husband is deployed for a few months it is not an issues but when I started Adderall I noticed it destroyed my sex drive, like no interest what so ever. After reading this I am hoping things will change for my poor husbands sake...lol

Young married man here, Concerta pretty much killed my sex drive. It was also harder to finish. As I understand it, stimulant medication side effects like this are somewhat rare in men but extremely common for women.

Young guy on concerta here. I always have the opposite effect when I am making love to my girl around the noon when the med is at a good height, seems like it makes things happen a bit too quickly.

Yeah actually, but I never knew whether to blame diabetes or what ... I at times, use viagra to help; at times I do feel a diminished sex drive, etc as well. Discussed it with my G.p. told me losing interest was not typical to e.d. despite the viagra helps.

Now that you have mentioned this, makes me wonder if Concerta possibly alters it; though if I can get going reaching n orgasm can take longer with concerta (I have been doing better lately) but noticed I can go a lot longer.

See the reason I thought it was tied to diabetes is my diabetes has gotten better and I am on 3 diabetic medications and 2 of them are at 50% of their prior dose. So ...

still for a guy, having trouble getting an orgasm is a good thing in the long run.

for me I have found that I last longer while on my concerta, before i was taking meds tI would climax somewhat sooner than to my to my liking or my girlfriend's for that matter. I think the concerta actually in some way might have a numbing effect of on the body which would explain, it subdues the excited mind and body. I would imagine sex around the time the med is wearing off pardon the pun might be your best shot. For me personally a diminished sex drive actually has made it better, im not so eager for it as often and by the time I do want sex it is been "a long long time" in pre med standard time. it works out great because that is about the time she really wants sex too.

For the most part, my medication completely turns off the downstairs machinery. There are days where I feel more of a sex drive than others depending how well I've slept or if I've went to the gym, but overall it's declined.

It's not to say I'm in no way sexually aroused when looking at women or engaging in conversation. For example, I could look at a girl and think "wow, she's beautiful" but no message seems to be going downstairs in the slightest.

Somewhat embarrassing when you make great connection with a woman on a date, and when things go to get physical they get self-conscious when I'm not aroused easily and think it's their fault.

If I take my meds I have the capacity to make conversation and not zone out while socializing with women, and if I don't I'll be off on another planet but sexually I'm good to go. Pick your poison...

30 year old male, I haven't had any major issues - It takes a lil' more to get going but once I'm there it's all good.

47 year old male. I've been on Vyvanse for a few years. My sexual interest has declined dramatically over the last number of years. I just started Concerta this morning, about 4 1/2 hours ago. I went to the bedroom with my wife and little willy just doesn't want to come out and play. We tried different positions and everything. Is Concerta to blame? Who knows? We'll try again later.
