Adderal gives me gas

Does anyome else get lots of gas from Adderal. I get it bad I mean real stinky & only when im on the pills. my husband is digusted with me but what can i do if he wants me to get better. I also have between 7 to 10 bowel movments a day when im on it-is that normal? sorry if this is gross.

I had problems like that on Adderal XR (10 or 20mg), which aggreviated other things....stopped taking it and back to normal now. Bummer as it did seem to have some positive effects. So for me personally that's no to Strattera, and no to Adderal XR.

Were you/are you on Adderal XR or standard? I think I saw a post here about XR causing this in somebody else. It is also listed as a possible side effect having either diarrea or constipation.

Do you have IBS or any inflammatory bowel disease? It is logical that stimulants may aggravate it since it speeds up everything - including digestion.

I am having a bit of gas, mostly in the beggining. More B.M too, but it seems better now I have only been on it 5 days.

haha YES! my friend and I always joke around because we will be in class and our addy will kick in and then ohhhh no people sitting behind me watch out! hah I take adderall (IR) and vyvanse and I always know when its kicks in because either I have to take a dump or I start letting em rip. A lot of my other friends don't have this problem but my friend and her friend and her mom even have the same issues so no worries it happens.....

That's fairly normal. Stimulants increase your metabolic rate and thus your GI tract gets a kick start too.
