Oh my gosh! We used to have an orange tabby that enjoyed going for car rides. His favorite spot was between the back of the driver's head and the seat back, where he could easily see out the side window and the windshield both, and could feel close to his people.

He also loved to go on walks with us, although he preferred to be draped over our shoulder/around our neck and let us do the walking. LOL

Also had one that always laid down to drink from his water bowl. Talk about a laid back kitty!

He sounds like he was a good friend. Too bad cats and dogs don't stay around very long. My buddy is entering into his golden years and I know he won't be with me much longer.

What I got done today:
  • Cleaned living room
  • Changed kitty litter
  • Washed and put away dishes
  • Picked up dining room (my ‘homework’ table)
  • Cleaned kitchen
  • Degreased stove top
  • Washed and folded four loads of laundry
  • Swept and vacuumed the whole ground floor
I was very spacey and distracted all day, but I got most of what I wanted to do done. Just missed two out of the three bathrooms (cleaned the other a week ago), and didn’t get to my bedroom. I’d say I beat my ADD for the day!
Whew! I'm tired just from reading this. I generally split a list like that between two or three days. If I do that much in one day I spend the next several days recuperating, but then I have fibromyalgia.

I do clean a salon one day a week, and it's an awesome feeling to see the whole place looking clean and shiny when I leave (it's a big place too) and not have to see the dirt and mess slowly accumulate over the week like when I clean up the house and watch it get messy again. I hope you can enjoy your clean and shiny house for a few days at least before it all starts piling up and getting dusty again.

Re: Dinky’s Monster Mayhem!

Thanks. The fibro is better now that it was for a long time. I have more time between flair ups, but those still do a number on me when they happen. Overdoing it is one way of making a flair up happen, so it's a good excuse not to do too much in one day, eh?

At home it makes more sense to clean one room each day rather than trying to do it all, so I tend to hang out in the room that's been cleaned and enjoy the sparkle!

Seems like as kids grow up their messed get bigger. My youngest granddaughter (Autistic) used to be wonderful about putting her toys away when she was finished playing with them, but in the last year that just keeps going downhill. If we ask her to put them away she says, "But I'm going to play with them again." Doesn't matter to her whether she's going to play again in a few minutes or next week though.

your cat sounds wonderful too.

he liked to be on your your chest so he could snuggle his face to your neck. hed crawl up and we would hold him for hours.

i used to put him this big bag purse thing and carry him around in it when we would go out... he loved it. hed have his head poking out the top, it was so cute.

I could never to get him on a leash.
