Hello all
I found this site after I was recently diagnosed with mild(or so they say) ADD and I thought I would join so I could get some help if I needed or just to participate in discussions. I hope I find that here
A little context :
I flew through elementary and middle school without a problem, all my final middle school marks were between 93 and 99 percent. I never thought I had focus issues because the work was done in less than half an hour (my threshold for focus). As soon as I got to highschool the work got harder, as is to be expected, but I really only noticed the focus problems this year. I had just thought I was lazy from grades 9 to 11. After a grade 12 biology assignment on adhd I realized I had a few symptoms. My parents were highly skeptical, and said I was just self diagnosing. I doubted myself as well.
Then I began a serious journey of introspective discovery and self awareness. I realized I had major anxiety issues, and focus issues as well. I am also the kind of girl that doesn't talk about my problems because I seriously can't, it's physically hard. So I had one of my annual blowups/breakdowns/panic attacks around the beginning of the school year and my parents decided to get me some pro help. I ended up talking to 4 pros and they all mentioned major anxiety and mild-middle range focus issues. I just started taking medication to help. So there is my little story, I hope it wasn't to hard to get through, not the most exciting story :P I look forward to participating in the forum

You remind me of me cause I'm also kind of self diagnosed,my doctor says it's anxiety.
I also spent/spend a lot of time in introspective discovery and research about anxiety,panic attacks,ADHD and different disorders to find out something. I finally decided recently to search for doctors help. I don't have any other help or support cause I don't like to talk about my problems to others just like you. I only told my family to be informed.
And yeah,welcome to forums
