No consoling needed today, simply creating a first-time eccentric post(which oddly I've never done before).

QUESTION!:

I've read plenty of threads here, working myself into typing out a response be it an opinion or advices, ultimately to leave the thread before submitting it.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? (I'm aware of the cause and reasoning behind it, but that doesn't stop it from occurring)

I often do, but it's usually because whatever I was about to post would be unethical or violate the forum rules somehow.

ive written entire books in the reply box just to delete it cause for some reason i didnt feel like posting anymore.
i know exactly what you mean however im wondering if this is something maybe caused by adhd or if its just a "normal" person thing.

Yup. Or, type out a response, open a new tab to do some more research, have my opinion change, re-type the response, and maybe not even submit it then.

Of course. I delete my fair share of unsent posts on here. Sometimes they just end up not making sense, even to me.

The rare times I have an eccentric rambling I outlet them into my diary just so see what they looks like written down. And oddly it ends up forming together better and making more sense there, probably because the pressure to make sense is off and I know no one will read it, lol.

yeah ive done that a few times mistakingly probably cause what id write was such a rant that id forget my point, also i wish i did that at first because i wouldnt of had that problem as likely but now i think i got a good idea of the rules even though i thought i did in the first place. and second thoughts are human nature
