First Week on Vyvanse - Advice Needed (Bad crash?)

My current medications:
- (generic) Prozac 60 mg
- (generic) Wellbutrin XL 300 mg
- Vyvanse 50 mg

Side effects experienced:
- Dry mouth/increased thirst/more frequent urination
- Stomach/chest discomfort
- Increased heart rate with possible palpitations (heart rate may also be alleviated due to Wellbutrin)

My psychiatrist prescribed me Vyanse last week and I started it this past Tuesday. He doesn't think I have ADHD/ADD, while I quite disagree. However, he is letting me try it.

The first day was good, I felt calm and slow in a good way. I definitely liked the effect. The second day was a bit more mixed with a big high at the end. Third day I was just anxious and hyper, and I think I had a really bad crash. I felt very weak, sort of light headed, and my vision felt surreal. I was at a store when it happened, and I came to the conclusion that I probably didn't have enough to eat. I grabbed something at the store, and while it didn't provide immediate relief, I wasn't getting worse. I went home and ate some more, and I felt fairly fine after an hour or so. The same thing almost happened yesterday, but I ate something before it progressed. I didn't really feel any positive effects yesterday at all.

Is this indicative of a nutritional deficiency or something else? I take a multi-vitamin (Centrum) with a fish oil supplement. I should mention that I am underweight (5' 11'' and ~121 lbs).

Some additional data.
1st day: Dose was taken (12 p.m.) after other medications (11 p.m.) with lunch.
2nd day: Dose was taken before (10 p.m.) other medications (11 p.m.) with breakfast.
3rd day: Dose taken with other medications (11 p.m.) with breakfast.
4th day: Dose taken with other medications (12 p.m.) with lunch.

I won't be able to speak to my (somewhat questionable) psychiatrist until Monday, so any advice will be appreciated. I can provide other data as necessary.

Even though your questionable psychiatrist didn't think you had ADD and Vyvanse was not appropriate, you finally wore him thin and got your way so he would n;t have to listen to you every visit. Perhaps the questionable psychiatrist was correct in his diagnosis that you are not ADD. Perhaps it would be wise to stop taking it. If you are not ADD, ADD meds have many more negative effects than positive ones.

Yes, he shoved meds at me to shut me up. Just because he has a degree doesn't mean I can't have a better understanding of myself than him. He tried to go Fruedian on me one day. -_-

Also, it's not like I had a 100% bad reaction to the meds. Today actually went fairly well. :P
