How many of you have gone through extensive evaluations to get your ADHD diagnosis? |

As to my diagnosis a year ago, it was my family practitioner who made the initial diagnosis and it was confirmed a few months ago by a psychiatrist. Neither of them put me through the paces of a thorough evaluation process and from what I've read about the process they could not effectively do it on me.
I'm in my early fifties and as far as getting feedback from people who may have observed any ADHD tendencies in me when I was a kid (elementary school teachers, others) are... [Read More]

"Gifts" of being ADHD? |
|

Now I'm in the middle of my senior... [Read More]

Spotting ADHD |

Bad title. My brain has been workin a bit overtime so I'm not so good with the words and the sentences and the making of the sense. But I'll try.
Last night my two sisters and I was sat around a table and sharing a bottle (or two) of red wine.
We're all drunkinly talking and I notice I'm beginning to lose concentration and I notice they're not. Easily spotted.
Then one sister wants to play a game. Picture whispers or somesuch.
What you... [Read More]
