Noise makes my ADD worse, can't focus on work!
Jul 12, 2020 - 5:08 AM - by Melfikus
There's a lot of construction work happening near my house. I work in a home office (programmer) and it's really impacting my concentration to a point where I can't focus for more than a few minutes at a time.

I was wondering if anyone has had good experience with soundproofing a room? I'm not interested in any expensive projects but something like acoustic panels on the wall, can it make a big enough difference or is it a waste of money?

I would love some actionable... [Read More]

the notion of up
Jun 17, 2020 - 12:07 AM - by Drogheda98
this is for the pshycholoy geeks out there: A>B>C while Ac=Bc, kind of the equation of nuanced thought and a lot could be written about just that

however, I'd like to share with some of you some insights I've had, upon deep self reflection.

I don't or can't use a diplomatic language.
These are rare and sudden angry bursts. Of course in most situations i... [Read More]

Success paralysis(perfectionism?)
Jun 07, 2020 - 5:37 AM - by MilosM
I wasn't sure how to name this, and I don't even know if this has anything to do with ADHD. I am curious does anyone has this. After I start doing something, and it all goes well, I end up staying away from that activity because I'm afraid I will make it less perfect over time. Here are some examples below.

I started teaching English online, and it's been going well for now, all students gave me 5/5 stars, which is great. The problem is that now I can't force myself to continue... [Read More]
